CONSTRUCTION - Scandinavian cross, navy blue and yellow (my personal colors). Construction sheet: 4-1-2-1-8 horizontal by 4-1-2-1-4 vertical.
SYMBOLISM - This flag represents one special day in my life which was both a high point (yellow) and a low point (navy blue) - I believe God's presence and love touched my heart just after the loss of my wife. This was on Christmas Day, 1985.
HISTORY - The Scandinavian design stems from my Christian faith and from where I first "discovered" flags when I was a small child - Solvang, California (Danish Capital of America). It was there that my mother bought my first flag - Denmark - in 1964. I still have it. The residents of Solvang fly Scandinavian flags all over town. I still visit that town every year or two.
ADOPTION - March 19, 1998
